THE attack on Iraq by troops from the US and Britain intending to topple Saddam Hussein has finally taken place. The first phase of the attack was to rain thousand of missiles and bombs over Baghdad and cities near the capital. Meanwhile, the coalition forces have seized several cities. But the invasion has wide implications. Masses around the globe are protesting what they see as an unjust war. The future of international political relations and the global economy now appear uncertain. Everything depends on the strength of the coalition forces and the speed at which they can take control of Baghdad.
