As a result of the earthquake and tsunami, thousands of Acehnese children have been orphaned. They sit silently in refugee shelters and evacuation places. In the midst of the terrible conditions, recent news from Aceh is even more dreadful: children of the \'Veranda of Mecca\' could also become victims of the heinous  crime of child trafficking. The younger generation of Acehnese must be protected so they can grow to take m part in determining the future of their land.
