MORE people are being implicated in the suspected bribery case at Bank Indonesia. After BI Governor Burhanuddin Abdullah and two of his subordinates were named as suspects, over a dozen former highranking central bank officials and a former member of the House of Representatives (DPR) were banned from leaving the country at the end of last week. A stack of documents in Tempo’s possession strengthen indications of misappropriations at both ends of the flow of these “illicit” funds. It has become increasingly clear that the case went all the way up to the DPR and the judiciary.
