Church Closures
IF the boast of the Anti-Apostasy Movement Alliance (AGAP) is to be taken at its word, religious harmony in Indonesia is under serious threat. Speaking on behalf of AGAP, H Muhammad Mu'min, has sworn to flatten all churches in Indonesia built without the proper license. The root cause of the problem is the 1969 Joint Ministerial Decree regulating the development and execution of religious teachings to the faithful. What can the government do to resolve the situation?
