WHATEVER his motive, the latest “bomb” detonated by Susno Duadji—if it is true—has truly blighted the image of the police force. After exposing the “Gayus case,” the former chief detective at National Police HQ has gone on to name more individuals he regards as being part  of the mafia. What should be of concern is that these people who visit the police headquarters on a daily basis, actually have good relations with the senior offi cers. No one has yet refuted the allegations made at a closed meeting with parliamentarians in Senayan. Susno is, after all, quite familiar with the ‘dirty games’ played at his offi ce. If Susno’s information is accurate, the open secret that has so long been no more than gossip will be proven true: the police are defi nitely not clean of “case brokers” or “case touts.”
