MYSTERIOUS snipers have wreaked havoc the entire year along the road to the Freeport mine. Our reporter experienced one such attack when the motorcade he was riding in came to a halt, as snipers attacked, two weeks ago. He survived but not a police offi cer escorting the motorcade. Who are the shooters? Are they members of the Free Papua Organization or agent provocateurs making sure the situation around the mine remains fluid and dangerous?
