THE Corruption Court of late seems overly generous in setting free corruption suspects. Those indicted for graft and other white-collar crimes seem to be getting off lightly, the proverbial smack on the hand or short prison sentences of less than a year. The judges’ integrity and the prosecutors’ handling of cases are now in question. It’s yet another impediment in the battle against corruption.
