Democrat Party Treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin has been charged with acquiring projects from state-owned firms. Collaborating with businessman Daniel Sinambela, his company was appointed to supply PLN with coal. But when the partnership split, Nazaruddin backed out and asked for his capital share, valued at Rp24 billion. When it was not forthcoming, Nazaruddin reported Daniel to the police. Daniel, in turn, revealed the suspicious behavior of his former colleague. Is it true the project became a source of the party’s funding?
