IN 2008, businessman DL Sitorus was charged with attempting to bribe the judges trying a corruption case brought by the Forestry Ministry. Company records showed that funds were deposited for the management of the case and that a certain lawyer with the initials ‘AS ’ was listed as being the attorney for DL Sitorus, who is none other than Amir Syamsuddin, the newly appointed Justice and Human Rights Minister.
