Governor Sutiyoso insists on his decision to operate the Busway on Jakarta\'s main roads this month. To do so, all of the project\'s infrastructure developments are being speeded up—day and night. The extended period for the three-in one system, planned to commence in tandem with the Busway, has been tested. Sutiyoso has his supporters. But there are also many doubts about the much-touted transport system "borrowed" from Bogota, Columbia. It\'s only natural. Past experience shows that not one single effort to improve the public transport system in Jakarta has ever made it (successfully) off the ground.
