THE Free Aceh Movement (GAM) has proved that it is not easily defeated. The war has entered its most violent phase. On several occasions the Indonesian Military (TNI) has been fooled by GAM's tactics. The battle at Sudan Hill that left seven TNI Marines dead is an example of GAM\'s guile. Based on the three weeks experience in hunting down GAM, the TNI should have a new strategy that is more potent. What is the TNI\'s response to the deadly challenge posed by GAM?
