THE threat of a bird flu pandemic is becoming real. Incidents of bird flu are suspected to be happening in both reports and unreported areas. The World Health Organization has established Indonesia is now in its third stage of contamination—where it has spread from poultry to humans. Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari also warned that as long as animall are infected, people will continue to be at risk. Immunization for humans is still unavailable. How can we protect ourselves from the menace of the virus?
