JOKO Suprapto tried to sell his idea of fuel distilled from seawater to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono a year ago. With the aid of the Palace’s inner circle, including special staff Heru Lelono, Joko’s promotion was successful. The President instantly fell for it. “This is victory for the Indonesian people,” said the President late last year.       But many doubt the “invention” of the man from Nganjuk, East Java, which was later named “Blue Energy.” Besides the mysterious nature of the manufacturing, the low price did not make any sense. The more so, Joko attributed his “invention” to the holy book. The President himself was enthusiastic. Originally he would launch this unlimited source of energy on the recent National Awakening Day commemoration, May 20.
