TYCOON Sukanto Tanoto—Indonesia's richest man in 2006 according to Forbes magazine—is now under the spotlight. His Asian Agri Group is suspected to have manipulated tax payments since 2002. Losses to the state are estimated to reach Rpl.l trillion. The charges are not groundless. A sheaf of financial documents and digital data is now in the hands of the authorities.
