A SMALL-time businessman claims to have taken part in bribing Supreme Court judges Zaharudin Utama and Mansyur Kertayasa, to exonerate PKS legislator Mukhamad Misbakhun, who was sentenced to two years in prison for fraud by two lower courts. The admission emerged after the Supreme Court acquitted Misbakhun, following a judicial review of his case. A district and an appellate court earlier found him guilty of forging documents in order to obtain a US$22.5 million loan from Bank Century. For their efforts, Mansyur reportedly got Rp2 billion while Zaharudin got Rp1.5 billion plus US$25,000 for acquitting Misbakhun.
