Investigating KPU Rats

THE Supreme Audit Agency (BKP) has completed its investigative audit of five procurement projects for the 2004 General Elections. On April 21, the report was submitted to the House of Representatives (DPR). Now, KPU members are arming themselves against accusations. But signs of irregularities were present even before tendering began on the KPU's various procurements. What was behind the meeting between BPK Chairman Anwar Nasution and KPU Chairman Nazaruddin Sjamsuddin shortly before key suspect Mulyana was arrested? "Do not question my integrity," says Anwar. But why have his comments on the case not been sympathetic?
