THE quick counts of survey organizations indicate that the Joko Widodo-Basuki Tjahaja Purnama team won the Jakarta gubernatorial election last week. It was an upset victory because the same survey had previously predicted that incumbent Fauzi Bowo and running mate Nachrowi Ramli would prevail. Since neither of them won more than 50 percent of the votes, however, they will face off at a second round in September. Will the political map change and what coalitions are expected to be forged?
